Chethana Trust is a Non-Profit and Non-Government organisation established to work in the areas of mental health, education, organic/natural farming, to patronise art and to provide amenities and facilities to the needy and deserving.
We are working in Mysore, Karnataka state since 1992-1993. The Trust has grown both in scope and geographical coverage. We strive for a world where all people live in dignity and security. We have to keep our first step forward to complete our journey. We continue to do our duty quietly and relentlessly and try our level best to solve the problems of the society without any hue and cry. Our aim is to wipe out the tears of those poor as we do our own.
We would like to place on record the support provided by our donors and volunteers towards accomplishment of our vision and mission. The Trust employs individuals who are dedicated towards their respective roles and put in a lot of effort to achieve the common vision and larger goals of the Trust.
The services of paid employees are not enough to cover the number of patients given the physical and population magnitude of our country. Enlist yourself to volunteer for a noble cause.
Giving is caring. Please share whatever you can with the under privileged.

Teaching children to love and care about others is an important life lesson. When children watch you give, they will grow up knowing that giving back is the right thing to do and follow in your footsteps. So, donating to charity also helps you be a good role model for your kids.
Showing compassion and helping others feels good. When you donate to a charity that is important to you, you not only help them continue their vital work, you’re also improving your emotional wellbeing, a win-win situation!
Mental Health Service (Psychotherapy, Behaviour Therapy, Counselling, Medical Services) for those who are suffering from various mental illnesses. It is out of reach for most people. Please contribute liberally and put an end to their sufferings.
Late M.S.Ramamohan the brain behind Chethana Trust was a self-effacing Philanthropist. “Charity begins at home is a good old saying in life”. It held good in true sense for our beloved founder.
Shri M.S. RamamohanHe came from a family of donors. He believed in the age old truth, “Don’t let the left hand know what the right hand is doing.” He craved neither for recognition nor popularity.
His mission and vision moulded the careers of his family members and attracted like minded people. He donated a valuable piece of real estate admeasuring 14 acres of land for a noble cause at Halalu Village, Rayanakere Post,Mysuru Taluk and District. With the support of his extended family, he created the necessary infrastructure to house the Trust office, School building, Temple, Vocational Training Institute, staff quarters which now come to be known as “Chethana Trust”.
Smt M.R. LakshmikanthaA personification of motherhood. Life can be compared to land. Just as a pair of oxen is necessary to till the land, a like minded couple is a must for a successful happy married life. The founders of our Trust – Late M.S. Ramamohan and Mrs.M.R. Lakshmikantha were made for each other.
Ma’am is the ideal better half. She shouldered the responsibilities of her husband most efficiently. An epitome of piety, she was always concerned about the welfare of others. Charity became a part and parcel of her household. Not only was charity made in cash and kind but also in the field of education.
We call upon like minded philanthropists to contribute liberally for a noble cause and make this project a grand success. Your contributions will change the lives of our fellow countrymen. Strengthen our hands.
